We are honored that you have chosen to join the Sun Devil family and look forward to working together to ensure this is an enjoyable and positive season for your child.  Sun Devil football in not just about football and cheerleading!  It’s about building lifelong characteristic traits in our youth.  To instill lifelong values of teamwork, dedication and a superior work ethic in the classroom and on the playing field.

We compete throughout Orange County, the greater LA area, and parts of the Inland Empire.  Our focus is on teaching our budding stars the safest techniques and true sportsmanship alongside with discipline.  We also look forward to watching each child learn the fundamentals of football in a safe and organized environment.  Your child will be challenged this season to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, time management, and physical fitness.  Along the way, we believe each will learn teamwork, self-discipline, and leadership skills.  Sun Devil Football offers a unique experience, which we are proud to have you participate in.  You will find that the Sun Devil Football years will be the best and most missed when your child moves on to High School, College or beyond.

Sun Devil Football sponsors football teams at several different divisions based on AGE not weight.  The youngest levels are the ROOKIE Division (6U – 5 and 6 Year Olds).  The SCEYFL – AAU is a non-weight restricted conference, designed to allow each player to compete against peers of his/her own age group. Unlike many of the other conferences, in the SCEYFL there is no need for “sweat boxes,” starvation diets, or players forced to play up in older age divisions. The objective in the SCEYFL is to have each participant compete against peers that are generally with the same mental status and physical ability.

Age is determined by reference to AUGUST 1st of each year.  By way of example, a player who will turn 13 in August is treated as a 12 year old for football purposes.  “Football Ages” are as of July 31st and whatever age your child will be on the date will be his / her age for the season.

Age is “Football Age;” i.e. the players age at July 31, 2017
